We are honored to have the following books, by Philip J. Wittmeyer, available to you. These books can be read on this site in a pdf viewer or can be downloaded. All text below is taken from the books themselves, both are copyright CC by NC ND.
The first four books are meditations on Chapter 42 of the Tao Teh Ching, which says:
Tao produced the One; the One produced the Two; the Two produced the Three; the Three produced All things; All things carry the yin and embrace the yang; through the blending of the chi they achieve harmony.
Fans of Douglas Adams’s book Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy will notice that — coincidentally — “42” is also “the meaning of life, the universe, and everything”. In this series of books, the realms of logic, mathematics, physics, biology, psychology, sociology, philosophy, religion, and theology are examined in the light of what Wittmeyer refers to as “Tao’s Template”. Hence, the titles of the first four books are “The Tao of ….” Notice as you read the following that the first three volumes cover three subjects, which are reduced to “Tao’s Template”, “The Natural Sequence”, and “The Process/Aspect System”.
[Please note that Volume 1, The Tao of Cosmology, is not available at this time.]

Volume 1, The Tao of Cosmology, is one of Wittmeyer’s meditations on the proposition that Chapter 42 of the Tao Teh Ching presented an algorithm for generating the logical and mathematical structure of the universe. Sciences, philosophies, and theologies are also examined. The three subsequent Volumes are subsets of this first volume, in successively smaller subsets, which means that each prior volume provides some of the context for the content of subsequent volumes.
Volume 2, The Tao of Cosmogony. is about that portion of Tao’s Template that refers to development or evolution over time, in seven levels or stages. Several realms of knowledge manifest the same seven stages of development. For instance, there is physical evolution, biological evolution, personality evolution, socio-cultural evolution, and spiritual evolution. In this book, Wittmeyer compares and contrasts them, analyzes and synthesizes them, into a coherent picture.
Volume 3, The Tao of Personality, is about a system of personality traits that can be derived from Tao’s Template, from “first principles” — logic and mathematics. In Part One, Wittmeyer explains how the Process/Aspect System is derived from the Tao’s Template algorithm. Then in Parts Two and Three, the personality traits are thoroughly described and explained. Finally, in Part Four the favorable and unfavorable interactions of the traits are explained and explored. Readers of the third volume can use the information contained therein as a guide to improve themselves and their relationships, which is further documented in Volume 4, The Tao of Relationships.
Volume 4,The Tao of of Relationships, is about that portion of Tao’s Template, the Process/Aspect System matrix, and the Natural Sequence schema, that refers to the psycho-therapeutic path and the spiritual path that some people experience during their lives. While studying the Process/Aspect System matrix and the Natural Sequence schema, Wittmeyer tumbled to the realization that there was more to his life than coming to understand Tao’s Template, the Process/Aspect System matrix, and the Natural Sequence schema intellectually and conceptually; he was playing them out — via some of his personal psychologically and spiritually transformative experiences. Those insights are documented in this fourth volume.
Volumes 5, 6 and 7 in the Synthesis Series By Philip J. Wittmeyer.
In the original Michaelian group, the Michaels referred to their teaching as “The Synthesis”. They said that it was their attempt to pass on to their students the knowledge and understanding and wisdom that they accumulated during their many tens of thousands of incarnations as humans on this planet over tens of thousands of years. During those lifetimes they experienced what the Physical Plane has to offer, from the development of mundane coping skills to enlightenment on transcendent spiritual paths. If you are familiar with various metaphysical teachings, historical and present-day, you will recognize components of many of them in the Michaelian teachings; that is why the Michaels referred to their teaching as The Synthesis.
These volumes are an analysis and synthesis of the transcriptions of the channeling sessions of the original Michaelian group, which convened during the years 1973, 1974, and 1975 in the San Francisco Bay area. These sessions, which were held on average about twice per week, provide the foundation of the Micheal Teaching. Portions of some of those sessions were published in 1979 in the book Messages from Michael, authored by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro. A nearly complete set of the transcriptions of the original group became generally available in the mid-1990s, and a few more session transcriptions became generally available in the early 2010s. The entire collection was published by The Center for Michael Teachings, Inc., in 2013 and 2015.
This volume, Study Papers on the Original Michaelian Group, consists of a collection of dozens of individual study pieces, which constitute its “chapters”. Each chapter provides a description and an explanation of a specific subject. These subjects are components of the belief system, value system, and behavior system of a psycho– social–spiritual movement that has come to be known as the Michael teachings, “Michael” being the name that a channeled entity provided when it first revealed itself to a group of spiritual seekers, the original Michaelian group. The channeling sessions were transcribed to written documents. A short introduction to the history of the original Michaelian group is include here in this introduction, and the detailed story is told elsewhere. Here also is a history of how and why and by whom the Study Papers book came to be.
This volume, A History of the Overleaf Chart, is about the Overleaf System of personality traits revealed by the Michaels — that element of the Michaelian teachings that has fascinated, and will continue to fascinate, Michaelian students. The Overleaf System has been graphically represented in many charts in the four decades since it was first revealed. It might be that most Michaelian students do not realize that there were precursors in other teachings to most components of the Overleaf System. It might be that most Michaelian students do not realize that there are numerous discrepancies and contradictions regarding the arrangements of the personality traits in the Overleaf System. If you are one of those, then prepare to gain some knowledge and understanding and wisdom from reading this book. Phil shares his new and unique insights about the Overleaf System here, and supplements his insights with information from other spiritual teachings.
This book, Transcriptions of the Original Michaelian Group, consists of a collection of 166 channeling sessions and several other documents, each of which constitute its “chapters”. Considered collectively, these chapters present the origins of the belief system–value system–behavior system of a psycho–social–spiritual movement that has come to be known as the Michael teachings, “Michael” being the name that a channeled entity provided when it first revealed itself to a group of spiritual seekers, the original Michaelian group. The channeling sessions were transcribed to written documents, and the other documents were produced during the time span in which the group met. …Perhaps it is appropriate to refer to this Transcriptions book as a foundation for Phil’s other six Legacy volumes. Because it is co-authored with Barbara Taylor, it is also part of her legacy, her contribution to the Michaelian teachings, as well.
